Rubbing alcohol, and WD40 works just as well.

Try a product called “GOO GONE”
(Target, Walmart)
I do not think it hurts leather.
No harsh solvents.
Test it on a hidden spot first.
Do not use “GOOF OFF”. That will melt the leather.

Use a Mr.Clean magic eraser all you use with it is water and they work great. I’m 100% sure this will fix your problem.They’re also cheap about $3 for 2 of them.
