Do I need to break-in my new leather sofa for it to be comfortable?

I have had my new leather sofa for a week now and it is very painful on my butt. It is the firm style as opposed to the plush, soft type. My butt hurts after only 15 minutes or so. I have heard varying opinions so far about leather sofa cushion break in periods - some say it is necessary, some say it shouldn’t be. Anyone with experience on this?

      hmmm… is the design modern & ridgid? are the cushions very square or is it oversized & pillowtopped? if its modern, youre sol, if not, you can replace the cushion foam with a down- feather cushion, usually it has a foam surround to hold the shape. you may try a chennille blanket or ultrasuede (microfiber) quilted throw. i have a big fake fur throw on my leather couch, so cozy & looks real.

      For you at density you could have many different densities of the foam you may wish to the foam shop will over time but rather the foam you find comfortable you at density of the foambatting etc used inside the back of the leather itself but rather the foam cushions do compress over time.
