We have had 2 leather sofas for months and all 3 cats have ignored them. This single chair (from DFS!), has incurred one attempt at the back of the chair where claws have gone in and “marked” the leather.

Any ideas other than pepper or separate scratching board considered! They have never shyed away from peppered areas, and they have never needed a scratching board as they sharpen claws outside on trees & fences! - Simon

I need a new sofas and sofa chairs for my living room. It’s a very bright room with lots of outside lights. Carpet is very light, almost white but not quite. The walls are little bit darker than the carpet but very light. Ceiling is white. Also, the ceiling is high, almost cathedral type.

Should I get a darker color furniture or stay light?

I don’t know “jack” about decorating.
